an advent reflection of sorts
Reading this months later, and wanted to say thank you for writing it. Agree with Bobby's comment. It's really powerful.
"some one has to give them up, lose them, so that others may keep them" made me think of Wendell Berry's poem The Fear of Love:
> I come to the fear of love
> as I have often come,
> to what must be desired
> and to what must be done.
> Only love can quiet the fear
> of love, and only love can save
> from diminishment the love
> that we must lose to have.
> We stand as in an open field,
> blossom, leaf, and stem,
> rooted and shaken in our day
> heads nodding in the wind.
A fantastic poem. Thank you!
This is so powerful. I admire you for fighting!
Thank you!
